The Jewelry Judge has been serving Houston and surrounding communities for over 73 years, and everything we do is built around giving you the most accurate, thorough appraisal possible from certified gemologists who genuinely care about getting it right.
We are certified, independent jewelry appraisers with decades of combined experience across diamonds, colored stones, estate jewelry, watches, and precious metals, and we take pride in the kind of thorough, personal service that clients have come back to us for across generations.

Ben Gordon began his career as a runner in New York's Diamond District, learning the trade from the ground up in the most competitive jewelry market in the world. As client demand grew, he dedicated himself full time to independent appraisal work, a commitment he has never wavered from in the decades since.
Mr. Gordon has witnessed every major shift in jewelry fashion and gemological science, from the charm bracelets of the 1950s and the cluster rings of the 1970s to the lab-grown diamond revolution of the 21st century, building an encyclopedic knowledge of gemology and jewelry history that very few appraisers in the country can match.
Ben is most proud of the trust clients have placed in him across generations. He now regularly works with the grandchildren of his very first clients, a continuity of care that speaks more loudly than any credential.

Kim Graham, GG
Kim Graham joined the Jewelry Judge team with over 30 years of experience in the jewelry industry and a depth of gemological expertise that covers everything from colored stone identification and treated stone grading to diamond evaluation, precious metals, and jewelry forensics.
A GIA Graduate Gemologist and certified member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, Kim holds some of the most respected credentials available in the field and brings that knowledge to bear on every piece she evaluates.
Kim's addition to the team has meaningfully expanded what the practice is able to offer, including in-home jewelry valuations for estates and elderly clients who may find travel difficult. Ask us about availability when you schedule your appointment.
