5Linda Gordon, Customer Service, Communications and Office Manager

Linda is the first point of contact for clients visiting the gem lab.   She inquires about any special concerns that should be addressed and informs the clients about the types of appraisals and consulting services that will meet their needs. While the client sits at her desk, she creates an ‘intake inventory’ of items to be examined and offers a quote for the cost of services before any work is done. Clients are then introduced to The Jewelry Judge and the appraisal process begins.

Texas Independent Jewelry AppraisersTexas Independent Jewelry Appraisers (TIJA)

TIJA is our corporate identity. Being ‘independent’ appraisers means that we do not affiliate with any retail establishment or jewelry showroom.  We represent the client exclusively.

  • Do not buy or sell jewelry.
  • Stay up-to-date by attending educational conferences and seminars.
  • Receive eye testing for color discrimination and accuracy every two years.
  • Fulfill continuing education hours annually.
  • Are re-certified annually.

Our appraisal services are unique because the client observes the entire process from cleaning, analysis, grading, photography, testing and reporting. We are committed to educating our clients and to helping them appreciate their jewelry not only for its intrinsic and material value, but its historic and stylistic value as well.
